About Me
My name is Eleanor Barnum, and I’m currently a senior at Brigham Young University-Idaho. My major is Web Design & Development, and I’m hoping to graduate in Fall 2025.
My interest in web design stems from webmaster classes I took in high school! Since then, I’ve completely fallen in love with the world of websites. My ultimate goal is to be able to create fun, interactive, and exciting websites for a whole variety of people. A special interest of mine is old web design, so I’m working towards finding a way to bridge together the zany and exciting aspects of old web, with the modern and accessible web designs of today.
I am proficient with languages such as HTML, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript. I also have experience with Virtual Studio Code, GitHub, Shopify, SquareSpace, WordPress, WooCommerce, Elementor Pro, Divi, Wix, Figma, social media creation, and Google analytics. I’m experienced with Adobe products such as XD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Rush.
Accomplishments
Throughout high school I was president of the Girls Who Code club. I ran meetings, taught lessons, and organized activities.
In 2022 I entered the BPA state competition with a small team of 3 others. The goal was to create a website based on the theme “Decreasing our carbon footprint”. We won 1st place in the Idaho competition, then eventually won 1st place again for the nationwide competition.
